PROJECT TEAM
Prinicpal Investigator Ivica Vilibić is senior scientist employed at Ruđer Bošković Institute and Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation. Ivica will coordinate the work of the GLOMETS project, do the administrative work (as less as possible!), do the research (as much as possible!), and on other items as ordinary principal investigators do in such projects.
Iva Tojčić is PhD student employed at Ruđer Bošković Institute. Iva will analyse in situ data and contribute in numerical modelling of meteotsunamis.
Iva Dominović Novković is PhD student employed at Ruđer Bošković Institute. Iva will contribute with analyses of in situ data, simulations and reanalyses.
Petra Zemunik is postdoctoral researcher employed at Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. Petra will create an extension to the MISELA dataset and do a research on high-frequency sea level oscillations.
Petra Pranić is postdoctoral researcher employed at Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. Petra will analyse climate simulations and contribute in numerical modelling of meteotsunamis.
Ahmet Cevdet Yalciner senior scientist employed at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Türkiye. He is an experienced researcher in the field of tsunamis, so he will contribute through analysis of data and modelling of planetary meteotsunami waves.
Gozde Guney Dogan Bingol is postodoctoral researcher employed at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Türkiye, while currently being at Deltares, Netherlands. Guney will analyse the sea level data and do the modelling of planetary meteotsunami waves.
Gabriel Jorda senior scientist employed at Instituto Español de Oceanografía, Palma, Spain. Gabriel will analyse the data collected by the VENOM tide gauge network at the Balearic Islands and analyse long-term changes in high-frequency sea level oscillations.
Joan Villalonga is PhD student employed at Instituto Español de Oceanografía i Universitat de les Illes Balears, Palma, Spain. Joan will analyse the data collected by the VENOM tide gauge network at the Balearic Islands and do the research on the planetary meteotsunami waves.
Xun Huan is professor at University of Michigan , USA. Xun will quantify uncertainties and model meteotsunamis using surrogate and stohastic models.
Maja Bubalo is postodoctoral researcher employed at Geophysical Department, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb . Maja will numerically model meteorological tsunamis, in particular in Vrana Lake near Biograd (Croatia).
